A Send-Off to Remember!

This year's Windsor Police Torch Run was more than an annual tradition—it was a celebration of our athletes! The Windsor Police went all out to give our 12 athletes and 3 volunteer coaches an unforgettable send-off as they prepare to travel to Medicine Hat, Alberta, as part of Team Ontario competing in the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games.

Surrounded by applause, encouragement, and pride, our Team Ontario athletes & coaches left knowing they have the unwavering support of LWSO and the community behind them. We can't wait to cheer them on as they represent LWSO on the national stage!

Raising the Bar Golf Tournament

Sunday, June 28, 2026 | Sutton Creek Golf Club

A beautiful day on the links brought together 80 golfers and 40 volunteers for an unforgettable event. With friendly competition, and incredible community support, the tournament raised over $15,000 for LaSalle-Windsor Special Olympics, helping our athletes train, compete, and thrive throughout the year.

Dan had a 209 in his third game with 6 strikes in a row - he is the first of the season to get to wear not 1 but 2 turkey hats!!

What a fantastic tournament in Stratford!

Our teams travelled to Stratford and competed in three outstanding games, showing heart, teamwork, and great determination.

Their hard work paid off; both teams had a second-place finish!

It's more than just results; the teams had an incredible time competing, supporting one another, and representing LWSO with pride. A Saturday to remember — and absolutely one we’d do again!

Celebrated with cheers, high-fives, and plenty of smiles, Dan’s big moment was made even more special by sharing it with friends.
